****Official 2013-14 Missouri Tiger Football Repository Thread****

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

8/31: Murray State
9/7: Toledo
9/21: @ Indiana
9/28: Arkansas State
10/5:@ Vanderbilt
10/12: @ Georgia
10/19:Florida
10/26: South Carolina
11/2:Tennessee
11/9: @ Kentucky
11/23: @ Ole Miss
11/30: aTm

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

Razors, cyanide capsules, and Jonestown Kool-Aid are available in the break room. Second door on the left.

Since every Mizzou thread eventually dies of AIDS, I recommend starting anti-retroviral therapy immediately. I believe Walgreens covers Express Scripts.

Premium In-State Players:

Roderick Johnson: **** OT, Florissant, MO.
Monte Harrison: **** WR, Lee's Summit, MO.
Jimmy Swain: **** LB, Lee's Summit, MO

Commitment List: From to and possibly

Spoiler!

As a fan of the teams that have been bestowed on me since birth glory has been few and far in between...that when the universe showed me that even when amazing things happen bad things should happen. Two of my favorite teams that I am most into are having epic seasons....and the big huge monumental game they are playing? Kick off at the same exact ****ing time.

MLS Cup Championship and SEC East Championship are at the same time. SKC game is in Kansas City and football games are longer so I will get to watch the end in the Members Club at Sporting Park but I couldn't ****ing believe it.

Of course they do...they're the better team and should win.

Will they? Who knows....overall Mizzou is head and shoulders better than Auburn IMO.

It is a scary matchup but I think their our WRs are absolutely going to give their DBs nightmares.

I can see their offensive style giving our D fits as well. I really hope Steckel is on his game this week.

We did expect Manziel and Mike Evans to give us fits and that never happened. Hopefully the outcome here is the same.

I still have nightmares of the 2009 Texas Bowl when Navy's triple option destroyed a Steckel defense with Sean Weatherspoon, Aldon Smith, etc.

I hope the Mizzou offense is prepped to win a shootout.

Here's something I kept thinking about this morning...

Has there ever been a more Phoenix-like season for a program than what Missouri has experienced in 2013?

I'm not just talking about the breakthrough campaign and march to the SEC title game. I'm also talking about the complete turnaround in recruiting.

All indications are that Mizzou is going to close this recruiting cycle on a significant upswing and possibly crack the top 20 in recruiting rankings.

**** WR Dominique Booth is open again and looking heavily at Mizzou
*** OL Brian Wallace is a Mizzou lean (Army All-American)
**** WR/TE Frank Ihenacho
**** DE Dante Sawyer (tough battle with SCAR)
*** LB Niles Sykes
*** Sharieff Rhaheed

A few of the key targets there.

The conservative, run-first offenses scare the hell out of me.

This just doesn't look like a good matchup for our defense.

The way Auburn runs its offense is rally nothing like the Navy offense.

Auburn is similar to what Ole Miss does with Brunetti in there, according to the players. Just much better at it.

MU will have to score to win this game. Aub is going to move the ball and I expect them to be able to run it on us. They are playing at a very high level and shoved it down Alabama's throat on the ground. You get this far and you're going to run into a team that can do some things to hurt you. That said MU is capable of doing it. Aub also has a secondary that can be picked on and MU has the receivers and trigger man to exploit good back 4's let along their's. I would guess this is going to be a 31-28 type of score. It's also going to be essentially a road game for MU. Probably an 80% pro-Aub crowd.
