Yeah, that's how you spell it. God knows WHY I know that, but while it is pronounced as you spelled it, it is correctly spelled as I spelled it.

I was listening to ESPN radio for a bit today and they had some chick reporter on and they were discussing how its hard to believe he would kill himself and they also discussed how hard it was for people that knew him to believe he killed someone.

Ummmm did they not see the video of him all deranged walking around his house with the gun after they got back from killing Odin Lloyd?

Or know the story about the ex teammate he shot in the face and threw out of the car?

Good grief people.

Damn I wish I still had time for video games, I would create Aaron Hernandez with a one bar face mask and then simulate the season and then check the Injury Report.

He did it for his daughter.

Under Mass. Law if you die before your appeal is heard you are presumed innosent. Meaning the families of his victims can't sue his estate, which has $38M in assets.

Yeah, this:

Quote:
Hernandez’s death does not automatically terminate civil lawsuits filed against him by family members of his victims and alleged victims. Normally those lawsuits continue, with Hernandez’s estate replacing him as the defendant. Although the legal burden for proving civil liability is only preponderance of evidence (more probable than not), the nullifying of Hernandez’s convictions through “abatement ab initio” presents an unexpected challenge for attorneys representing the families. Those attorneys—especially those representing the family of Lloyd—would have relied on Hernandez’s convictions to help establish that if he was convicted criminally, which requires beyond a reasonable doubt, then he must be liable in a civil case given the lower burden of proof required. Regardless, it is unclear if Hernandez leaves behind an estate with much in the way of resources. His legal bills have likely been massive, he has not earned income since 2014 and his other potential sources of wealth may not have a simple path to the family he leaves behind.

Um....what?

I mean, you don't even have to go lower profile than the OJ case to recognize the absurdity of that. Criminal liability has nothing to do with civil liability; completely different standards of proof.

As has been noted - the evidence in the Lloyd case was overwhelming. If there's money anywhere to be had, the civil attorneys will still be able to secure a civil judgment.
