In the other finals he averaged 22 ppg, 17ppg, and he's currently averaging 21 ppg.

Are you going to say he was clutch in those series? Or he played like the greatest player in the league?

LeBron has never been the best because he scores the most points.

I don't know how that's so tough to understand.

Saying it was a "fluke" suggests it can't and wont' happen again. It's happened multiple times. Can you confidently tell me he won't shoot over 60% in game 6 or game 7?

It could be because of the matchup. It could be because he's just money on the big stage. But it's not a fluke. He's always been a good shooter and when the Spurs move the ball, the Heat tend to give him open shots and he is one of the best 3 point shooters in the game.

While this is true, for them to beat the Spurs, he's going to have to score as well as facilitate.

Maxwell was big part of the Celtic resurgence when Bird was drafted.

He was an inside presence with a more athletic ability and quickness than Kevin McHale.

Since this game is over I have to get something off my chest. I will forever hate Danny Ainge if he trades KG\Pierce\Doc Rivers for DeAndre Jordan and a couple of draft picks. How stupid can one person be?

LeBron is the biggest superstar in the league. But hey, it's unfair for us to expect him to score points in clutch situations in the finals. Clearly passing and rebounding is what we should expect from a superstar in those situations.

By the time his career is over, he will likely rank at or near the top of all of those marks. It's a laughable assertion to claim LeBron James is a choker.

So far, he's 1 for whatever in the finals of playing consistent basketball. Somethign is wrong there.
1 for 3, yes. Not sure what losing in a series to a vastly superior Spurs team in 2007 or an excellent Mavs team in 2011 proves about him any more than his dominating win over OKC last year does.

Best 3 point shooters in the game? He's extremely hot right now, but lets hold the phone on that one a bit.

Will he shoot nearly 70% from three for the rest of his career?

If its not a fluke and he's always been this great shooter, why did the Spurs cut him 2?

Celts want to get in the Andrew Wiggins/Jabari Parker sweepstakes.

so unless he scores 40 and has 15 dimes he's a choker

Got it.

Maybe...and I don't know, this is probably just a shocking revelation here...

but MAYBE the Spurs are just a better team right now than the Heat?

Just because a team loses doesn't mean someone on the losing team necessarily choked.

Which is the same argument I have all of the time about NFL QB's....

but this board is full of a bunch of emotional dipshit sports 'fans'...so it's not even worth arguing as much as I have to argue it

I've definitely cut back 90% from that argument because we'll always have the Dirk Digler level of intelligence posters who tell us the game isn't over halfway through the 2nd quarter and that the game is over after someone hits a 3 to go up 14 with 1 minute left
