Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Smith and Wesson M&P Compact. I paid $530. They had bumped the price about $40 from when I looked at it (and foolishly didn't buy it) two weeks ago, but after standing in line for a ****ing hour I didn't care.

Same thing happened to me on the ruger lc9 I bought this week. When I found one in stock I bought it. Gun shop in Claycomo was packed. Ended up out the door for $400. About $20 more than expected. Now I need to find room in a CCW class.

I've heard AR prices have doubled in some places. But that doesn't seem to be slowing down the demand much.

Crazy buying going on. Hopefully things will settle down and prices will come back down.

The Daniel Defense DDM4V7 I bought early November for $1400 on budsgunshop. Yeah, a store in Yukon, ok had it for $2900 yesterday. This store was doing serious price gouging. They had WASR AK's for $1500 and they crossed out original prices on them. I wanted to punch the owner in the face.

I've got a friend who builds AR platform rifles, I told him now is the time to get as much $ as possible for his builds. When a person cashes out on the demand, fine. However, I agree, when gun shops or retailers gouge the consumer, screw them.

It'll come back down in four years, when the next president reverses odumby's executive order.
