Loved his earlier, "classic" stuff. The last Clancy I read was "Teeth of the Tiger," and it was awful.
He had become a "brand name," and much like James Michener and James Patterson, I think he wound up sketching broad plot outlines and let co-authors write the books, then he would slap his name at the top and reap the money. |
