Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Now You See Me was pretty good.

Evil Dead was absolute trash.

The Purge - I enjoyed the movie. I really like the concept of it too, but I thought it could have been better.

Hangover 3 - Let's be honest - this should have been done with after season 1. Two was terrible, but 3 was much better than 2.

Zombie Hunter - I liked this one. A much more fresh take on zombie movies. It was different.

watched Goodfellas the other day when it was on...for the 5,000 time.
I can't help it - whenever it's on, no matter what I'm in the middle of doing, I always end up watching it to the end.

Three was horrible. It doesn't even make sense considering they don't get hungover. Only time I laughed the whole movie was at the end with the boob job scene. Two is bad because it takes hangover 1 to another level of stupidity and immaturity and it's basically the same story line, but it has it's spots. Three is just boring.

It had its moments.

But, wasn't close to being as bad as the second.

That's the bad thing about these type of movies -- everyone compares them to the original. You want it to be funny, but not the same recycled shit from the previous two.

Glad I rented it though and didn't see it in theaters.

I know I'm about 15 years behind the times, but I just watched Rounders for the first time. What an enjoyable flick! And while Damon, Norton, and Moll were all good, the standout for me was John Malkovich.

I made a post on that movie a year or so ago. Excellent movie. I hadn't heard of it. Excellent flick.

Watched The Brood last night and enjoyed it. The fashion and score were on point, the evil doctor's house was rivaled only by ol boy's from Human Centipede.
