Books Birth Order Book

Has anyone read it?

I saw it in a kiosk at a Target and wondered if it was any good. It sounded interesting and I wondered if it agreed with my experience and if it agreed with others' experiences.

I don't need a book to tell me that middle-children are *****ed up.

According to the research I've reviewed....birth order theory is about 70-80% accurate. Seriously.

First kids, "middle" children, and "babies" definitely seem....to conform to a pretty predictable pattern. Not ALL. There ARE common exceptions. But for the most part, both in my review of the "research" and anecdotally, based on my personal observations and experiences, the stereo-types are pretty darn accurate. Especially when kids are separated by less than 4-5 years. If separated by more than 4-5 years, birth order tends to start "over."

I'm a first child. Duh....

That's actually what made me want to read it. I figured it's pretty accurate.

I suspect you are the youngest in your family...

....though on the internet, these things are less exact, and not as easily discerned.

Seriously though; it's hard to tell on the internet....we see such one-dimensional/two-dimensional representations of pretty complex personalities.

coming from a middle child here, yes, middle children are ****ed up. Anybody else that wasn't a middle child just doesn't and can't understand the pain and misery we have to go through...
