Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I've thought about trying some of that Silver Bear...zinc coated steel casing. I've heard it does just fine. Just a little dirtier, maybe.

Try a few 20 round boxes first to make sure it will cycle in a AR-15 before you make a big purchase. Some AR's will have no probs .others will break extractor or extractor will tear off the head & leave the rest of the spent case in the breach. Or in my case. The shit just does not have enough gas pressure to cycle my Colt. It short strokes with all Commie block powders.

Looking at prices of various ammo (5.56x45, 7.62x39, etc.) has me thinking of selling my 556 and getting an AK of some sort. I'm guessing that taking it to my local gunshop isn't worth my time, as they'll probably offer me $0.50 on the dollar. If anyone here is interested, here's what I have:

* Sig Sauer 556 SWAT Patrol w/blue SS hard case - http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...rol-rifle.aspx
* 4 mags - 1 original 30 rd SS mag, 2 30 rd Magpul (w/window), 1 20 rd Magpul
* Lucid MD7 RDS - http://mylucidgear.com/reddot.php
* Grip Pod - http://www.grippod.com/gpsle.html

I'll sell the rifle with all the original accessories/documentation along with the mags for $1000 even. I'll sell everything for $1200.

Silver Bear and Wolf are great plinking ammunitions. If your rifle doesn't work on them, fix your rifle.

I haven't owned a GAT trigger since I was a teenager. I dnt remember having any problems with it. I still have a 10/22. Its a good lill carbine 1000s of mods for it. My $100.00 Rem 597 will out shoot it. & my $65.00 Marlin 60 will out shoot both of those
