What did everyone think of the show?

I thought it was good enough to stay on the DVR. Not super great, but it is different and done well enough to build the intrigue to see what happens next.

I ended up watching and liking the whole season but was underwhelmed by the finale.

Farscape took some time to hit its stride too. Although the John/Aeryn chemistry was there very early on (nothing like that on Defiance so far).

They're very different types of shows, though.

Maybe I wouldn't have liked it as much if there was literally ANYTHING on my DVR worth watching. I needed some TV.

Irrissa was an enjoyable character even though they went over the top with the sci fi. The whole 3 species dynamic was good enough.

It's not great but it was good enough for my DVR.

I guess my issue with the show is that it's basically just another "cop and government take on corruption and organized crime" show, only with people in alien costumes.

The aliens aren't alien enough to be interesting and there aren't enough sci-fi elements. Some people really like the political fantasy/sci-fi but it really isn't my cup of tea.

I like political sci-fi, but this isn't. ERep is still basically an unknown boogey man used as bad guy. This is just a mish mash of attempted plot lines.
