Smith is absolutely an upgrade over Cassel. You don't realize how bad he's been the last couple of seasons. The problem is unless Reid unlocks something more in him it's not enough to take the team where we want.

There's no question he's better than 2011/2012 Matt Cassel.

The question everyone's waiting to find out is if he's better than 2010 Matt Cassel.

I have a hard time believing he is. In fact...I daresay he would have quarterbacked that team to 8-8.

Wait, what?

Flynn, a guy that's started exactly one game versus a guy that led his team the
NFC Championship game and the highest QBR in the league for 2012?

I think Alex was as good as he was because of what he had around him... No guarantees but this is my gut feeling

Jake Plummer "led" the Broncos to a championship game, too.

Ironically his statistics were almost identical to Alex Smith's.

Fool's gold and you know it.

You have some points, but I wouldn't use QBR when making them.

If Flynn can take an opportunity and run with it in the NFL he could do better than Alex Smith. He may not but the point is Chiefs fans are too scared to find out about a player that hasn't played vs the known player retreads. Just because a guy has played for 9 years doesn't mean he is going play good for us.

Jesus Christ Flynn threw 6 TDs against the worst pass defense in Green Bay versus Detroit. No thanks. Obviously Dorsey knows him better than anyone

Can't we all just agree that the Smiff trade was a gutless, pussy-fart of a move if he is being viewed as an unchallenged, long-term solution? I think that's more than reasonable.
