Junior Seau dead, probable suicide

North County Times reporting Seau "found dead by a housekeeper of a gunshot wound to the chest."

https://twitter.com/#!/LATimesfarmer...55054793560065

Junior Seau Dead Cops Investigating Shooting

Cops are currently at Seau's home just outside San Diego. Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife.

Seau was a beast in the NFL -- skyrocketing to fame thanks to his explosive play with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. The USC standout was selected in the first round of the NFL draft in 1990 and played in the league for 20 years.

Seau was involved in a car accident back in 2010 when he drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, CA hours after he was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. Seau later said he was not trying to kill himself ... insisting he had fallen asleep at the wheel.

I know, and at the end of the day, you're right. Although the flip side of that is sometimes these people are irreparably damaged, ****ed up everybody who cared about them when they were alive, and the survivors are better off without them.

Yeah but driving off a cliff or into a tree at 110 at least leaves some room to rationalize an accident in their minds, ya know?

True, I think I have successfully trolled him..

I agree with Al with his post, most that failed doing it, regretted it.. There are some that just have a death wish, but most is just a short term or temporary feeling.. But once they complete it, it is final. And then cripples their loved ones..

Their family should get sympathy for what they now have to endure, but not the person that committed the deed..

IMO the only people that can commit suicide and receive sympathy are terminal patients with cancer or something similar.. A broken heart, financial issues or losing your job are not those..

Thanks. I'm too proud to let it show and compensate a lot with humor. It's worse in the winter when I'm not busy and not able to stay active outside. I should probably move back to a milder climate to more efficiently cope during the toughest times. It's largely related to PTSD and some poor genetics. But I'm very blessed in so many other areas that I'll work it out.

You won't feel anything because you'll be dead.

Its not for you to say if its okay. Its outright idiocy to treat all suicides as the same as they are not. I've never understood the people condemning suicide because its selfish and to think of the family/friends. How is it not every bit as selfish to feel that people should give up their free will just because you care about them? There are some that I would absolutely agree are selfish (for instance taking others with you or making someone else kill you for instance), and yes, I'd say its pretty selfish if you leave behind people that depend on you (like kids) but I definitely would not make absolutes and condemn everyone.

The last part is just ridiculous absurdity. Clearly killing himself would have maimed his kid more. I don't even know why you said patience, but whatever.

Of course its fine for us to say its not OK. If they are not a member of the Chiefs Planet message board or never read this thread, then whatever, but for those who do: you'd better be crazy or dying. If not, then know that when you go, that you are damaging your family more than you can ever imagine, and that many of those who survive you WILL NOT REMEMBER YOU FONDLY, at all.

A lot of people in their depression have a stupid fantasy of how things will go when they kill themselves, and they need to be slapped with the truth. You'll hurt people you didn't want to hurt, and people who like you now, will dislike you later and will speak ill of you when your name is brought up.

I'm speaking for myself and my own opinion, not passing judgment on every person who has ever committed suicide. My opinion doesn't amount for much but if it helps anybody in my circle think about their family during thoughts of suicide then it's worth enduring a little ridicule.

Well. i fought depression for a few years. The last couple years or so i read or listen to the bible through Podcast apps and don't touch anti-depressants anymore. I think that has really helped me a lot.

I never had suicidal thoughts at all i must add.

No, because it's impossible to drive in the left lane for years without routinely stopping for gas, food and bathroom breaks.....
