Not sucked, certainly. He's been very good, but has been worse than Wade as every single objective evaluative statistic shows.

yeah you are right he is worse than Wade my bad...lol
All you've done is prove that he had a better team than Wade over that time (and that he scores a lot of points which is almost entirely due to how many shots he takes). Nobody would dispute that, the Lakers added a ton of great players to help him and they had a great run. But just like LeBron has been better than Kobe over the last five years with less team success, as has Wade (although the difference isnt anywhere near as significant).

Hell Kobe is Top 5 in NBA scoring ALL-TIME but Wade is not even Top 50...but Lebron is.
I'm not talking about all-time, read about how this began. Kobe's clearly had the better career, but Wade has been the better player over the last five years since his decline.

And the facts suggest that Wade has been better than Kobe over the last five years (which is all I ever said). Unless you believe that stats lie, of course.

If we're talking career, it's Kobe. If we're talking the last five years, it's Wade (he was the #2 player in the league for a stretch there behind LeBron...Kobe hasn't been at that level for a while now). If we're talking right now, right at this very moment, it's basically a wash. Kobe has declined significantly (which is pretty easy to see), but Wade had a pretty poor year by his standards this season as well and seems to be on the decline.

The original point was that LeBron is the best player in the league by far and has been for the last half-decade. Durant has now taken the #2 spot from Wade/Paul/Kobe, but he's not near LeBron yet (as this series solidified).

No, just those with a basic understanding of basketball statistics (and those who are capable of admitting that Kobe isn't anywhere near the player he once was).

How about the Raptors just get a good team for once? I don't think you realize how lucky you are to have that OKC Thunder team.

Maybe I was being too kind to Kobe in calling it a wash right now...he had a worse year and is in a bigger decline than I thought.

You're comparing a 30-year old to a 33-year old.

Seems fair.

The 10 Most Overpaid NBA Players

2. Kobe Bryant
Overpaid by: $19,693,258
Salary: $25,244,493
Value of Wins: $5,551,235

Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Minutes Played: 2,232
Wins Produced: 2.85

Kobe Bryant is a basketball legend, and as such many people may bristle at his inclusion on this list. However, Berri contends that the player’s sterling reputation is something of a mirage. “The media says Kobe was one of the best players in the game in 2011-12,” he said “But the numbers tell a different story.”

According to Berri, Bryant’s scoring simply comes down to the fact that he takes a lot of shots. “But in contrast to past years, Kobe’s shooting efficiency was below average for a shooting guard, and inefficient shooting doesn’t produce wins,” he said. “However, if you take enough shots you can still score enough points to convince fans – and the media – that you are actually helping a team win.”

But doesn’t Bryant’s star power attract enough fans to help the team’s bottom line? No, according to Berri. “The study of gate revenue reveals that it is wins that drive revenue. Star power is far less important.”

Wade had better years than this before LeBron arrived, so that theory doesn't hold water either.

Yeah, Kobe's age and decline is pretty much the entire reason why he's a worse player than Wade now (and has been over the last five years). That's part of the deal.

I know we are lucky. I would take any team because I'm just a sports fan. I'm a Royals and Chiefs fan. I think I have an understanding of waiting for a great team to support.

You are a Raptors fan? I thought you were a Lakers fan?

I've never argued that. I just said Id rather have Durant, and that hasn't changed. Until, LeBron turned on a switch it started to look close. I think KD is one of the best character guys in the history of sports. It will be interesting to see how LeBron responds to winning. It could relieve the pressure and it could cause him to relax too much.
