I hate the Alex Smith trade, too, but I'm not assigning it the weight that people here are. It's not a franchise killer, for ****s sake. It's just a chicken shit move - or is perceived as one because we all assume that a first round QB is now out of the question. Which may or may not be true.

Like my granddaddy used to say, the less a man makes declarative statements, the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect.

People are just worn out is all. If you ignore the past 20 years, the move's fine. It's just hard for people to accept trying the same thing again.

You all are a bunch of babies. Just because a front office doesn’t agree with the path that you would take, you cry that ownership doesn’t care about winning. I know pee-holy screwed up pretty bad, but does that completely remove any chance that the new guys have some idea of what they are doing?

Interesting to note that Reid wasnt at the proday. May be nothing, but you would think their consensus top guy would warrant them getting as much face time as possible.

Not really. The HC/GM doesn't usually meet them unless there is a private visit. Which we now know there will be.
