yay! $600 later I'm ready to game it up. Got the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter game!

no, I got the core system for $300, a game for $60, the HD cables for $70, 2-yr warranty for $40, and with tax that was about $500, then I got home and hooked it up and realized that I didn't have a hard drive or memory unit so I went back and picked up the hard drive for $100. All that best buy had was the core system. I probably could have gotten a better deal elsewhere, but I wanted to use my best buy reward zone thing.....oh well

I've been trying to stave it off. I still enjoy my regular xbox just fine, and that price is friggin' steep. Ghost Recon looks so sweet though.

If you know a BB employee, you can figure out how little the service plan is used by the amount the employees have to pay with their discount. The discount was 5% over cost when I worked there, and there were some service plans that only cost me a couple bucks.

The old xbox (and ps2) had some issues with the DVD drive wearing out quickly, causing games to freeze a lot, so maybe it would be worth it. But you can find an extended warranty for a lot cheaper than you get at a retailer online, for anything from tvs to cars.

I love my 360. I have PGR3, Call of Duty 2, Kameo & Perfect Dark Zero... all 4 are EXCELLENT games. I am going to pick Ghost Recon and am already on a preorder for Halo 3 when it finally comes out.
