ChiefsCountry's 2013 Mock Draft

1. Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Not my choice at all, but Albert is gone. This pick looks to be locked in so we are going to run with it.

1. Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Trade #52 and #63 to move up, potential trade targets St. Louis, Minnesota, New England. If we get #42, trade will be easier.
Chiefs grab their franchise quarterback. Let Alex Smith play until he plays like Alex Smith or gets hurt. Barkley perfect fit for Reid’s west coast offense, perfect fit for Kansas City on and off the field.

3. Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State
Chiefs get a nasty ballhawk to round out the secondary. Berry and Thomas should be a nice combo for many years.

4. Jon Bostic, LB, Florida
Get to add the missing piece in the linebacking core. Bostic will fit nicely next to DJ.

5. Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas
Bigger back gives the Chiefs depth in the backfield with Charles and Gray. Could end up similar to Duce Staley.

6. Joseph Fauria, TE, UCLA
Depth to the the tight end core. Could be a sleeper pick. Lots of potential.

6. Damion Square, DE, Alabama
Productive player for the Tide. Perfect 3-4 DE. Won’t wow you but will be a solid player.

7. Travis Long, OLB, Washington State
Productive player for the Cougars. Special teams and can rush the passer.

If we come out at the end of all this with Joeckel and Barkley, I'll go back to homer SNR.
