And to answer your question, the Spurs never proclaimed that they were going to win multiple championships by building their Big 3. They didn't have a glitzy stupid press announcement either. They also don't have baby bron bron either.

Really? You really don't know why it would be a failure for the Heat not to repeat and wouldn't be near the same amount of failure for the Spurs?

Wait, so if you set your expectations at 7 Championships and 3 years in, you've delivered one, is that not a failure?

The Spurs didn't come out and set those Championship or bust expectations. The Heat did. So of course when they don't win, it's a bigger failure.

No, a press event where they announce that they are going to win multiple championships sets the expectations. The Spurs have multiple championships and never pre-emptively said they would win multiple championships.

No, still expect Miami to win. Just stating facts.

Fact: Both teams are within 1 win of each other over the past 3 years.

Fact: One of those teams has made the Finals 3 straight times.

Fact: The other made the Finals once.

Yet 1 is success and 1 is failure? Ok.

The question isn't about the Heat. It's about the Spurs and why winning an average of 56 games/year yet 0 champs and only 1 Finals appearance to show for it isn't considered failure when a team who has achieved more in the same time span would be ridiculed as a failure.
