Yeah, i really think that's going to happen. The defense is good, but when they start playing teams that aren't mistake prone, they're going to come back down to earth and the offense is going to have to start carrying its own weight.

It'll be interesting to watch once the offense has to start compensating for the defense....like when they play Denver or any other team with a good QB and a decent Defense.

You don't think backing the safeties off would help our run game and short passing game? Do you know why teams don't blitz every down?

Surely you recognize how teams are defending KC right now. Surely you recognize that this current incarnation of KC's offense isn't going to bring sustainable success.

It's literally football offense 101. Run the ball to bring the defense in and it opens up the passing game, vice versa.

I mean sure, we could wait to replace 3 offensive linemen, 2 TEs, and a slot WR so we could become a 4 yards and a cloud of dust juggernaut. I'm just not on board with the idea of reinventing the wheel to find success in the NFL.
