First of all Thanks Dru. These have been wonderful thanks for all that you do to get these up.
Quick question though I can play these off my hard drive fine, but when I go to transfer them to DVD I get video but no sound. I have tried a couple of different programs get the same result video will work but no audio. Any suggestions?

Well, what programs are you using to do the conversion? It really should do it just fine on the fly. The audio track in the AVI file is Lame MP3 and would need encoded back to mpeg-2 audio track in order to work in a DVD player. Again, though, any DVD creation software should do this for you. Not sure why you'd be having troubles.

I still say you people should sell your standard DVD players and get a Divx certified one. If your DVD player is part of your audio system or something then that's one thing, but if you've just got a regular ol' DVD player, sell that thing on eBay and get one with Divx logo on it. They're no more expensive and will play almost any kind of media you can put in them: DVD, WMV, Divx AVI, etc.
That's only if your TV is too far away from your computer or too much of a pain in the ass to connect to. A simple S-Vido out to your TV will solve the problem of not being able to watch the videos on your TV. |
