*****Official 2017 NHL Playoffs Thread With Contest*****

I thought it would be cool to have a thread for the best postseason in sports, the NHL Playoffs.

Even though my Kings are out, I love watching the playoffs and wish the best to all of you with your teams.

Here's the link for the bracket predictor. https://bracketchallenge.nhl.com/leagues/chiefsplanet

The password is Lonewolf and I hope we can get some of you in there with a bracket. Enjoy!

If I had to guess which team hasn't played in a week, I'd guess the Caps...

You should put it up now just so we know who the penguin fans are. They need to be beaten.

Can't think of a more offensively inept 2nd round playoff game, even though I'm sure these 2 teams and the Wild would have been involved.

The Penguins are almost the only reason to watch the playoffs at this point (and I'm not a Pens fan)... they were hilariously sad at playoff hockey a few years ago, but are playing better than they did last playoff season.

It's one thing for a team to do something unexpected in the playoffs, but this is like the Chiefs drafting a QB in the first round... the Oilers spent decades trying to recreate the 80s by drafting relatively lightweight forwards, and it took them all of 2 games to learn playoff hockey... and McDavid doesn't hurt.

My gear has a few abrasions in it, but you're right. I'm more worried about sticks; they tend to get raised to face level more often than skates.

If you're not watching the Rangers @ Senators game you're missing a good nail biter.
