ANyone else still want to TANK the season for a better draft pick?

Say the words, and join my ignore list:

"we should tank this season for a better draft pick"

*************************
Let this thread stand as a testimony to traitors
and cowards who, at a time of peril , chose to
abandon the fight and wish upon our great, and
holy Chiefs, to lose games and give up the fight.

By shunning them and making their words vanish
from the computer screen, we say unto them:

WE WILL WIN

We have not given up the will to fight. We are not
sackless, gutless weasels who run crying home to
mama to suck on her stretched out floppy teet
when times get rough.

We shun you, and your words are now gone from
our lives, never to waste our time or energy again.
We acknowledge that your only purpose is to troll,
and cause disharmony, and therefore the best way
to deal with you is to banish you from the pages of
history.

So losing this year and getting a first round quarterback doesn't give the Chiefs a better chance of being long term successful than winning 7 or 8 games and missing the playoffs and not getting a new qb?

Guys this is pointless. The team has the talent to not win 3 or less games. You can still trade up and get a QB even if they finish with 10-8 wins. If they want one, they will find a way to get one, it's that simple. You don't have to lose to win.

I want the team to win, but I want matt cassel to tank.

I want him to throw 4 ints a game and our defense to win it for us.

then I want to get a real qb and go into next season with confidence.

Matt Barkley

Landry Jones

Underclassmen that may declare
Tyler Bray
Logan Thomas
Aaron Murray

Depending on the underclassmen, there might be a good option well into the late teens or even the early 20s.

Anyway, it's FAR too early for this type of speculation.
My point is that even if this team wins 8 or 9 games, we will still be within striking distance of a franchise quarterback prospect that would be a huge upgrade over what we have.

The problem here is that you're attacking your fellow fans when all they're guilty of is CARING ABOUT THE TEAM.

That's ridiculous dude.

I want a clean slate. Are there times I'm hoping the opposing team puts points on the board? You bet.
These pretty much sum up my thoughts on the matter. I just don't care anymore.

I didn't watch a single game this weekend. And I didn't miss it.

And I likely won't watch a game this weekend either. I'll either be on the golf course, or watching the Ryder Cup.

Between the joke of a franchise I've lived and died with for 30+ years sucking the life out of me, and the stories I'm reading about the replacement officials butchering games, Im confident I'm making the right decision.

After all, it's my choice to be a fan. I found my clue.

I voted yes primarily because if I am not already on Pawnmower's ignore list, I want to be. In all honesty though, I don't want this team to lose, but I am aware that any wins this year are purely phyrric. Even if we win enough to somehow make the playoffs will get smashed anyways. Changes need to be made in this organization and marginal success will not get it. Sure we can draft and be successful later in each round, but lets not kid ourselves players of the caliber of Luck don't last till the 22nd pick. Sure Rodgers fell, but he just happened to come out in a draft where QB was not a huge need. He was still projected to be a #1 pick, it was only because SF chose Alex Smith instead of him that he fell. Elite QBs are usually drafted in the Top 15.

A couple of crappy seasons got Carl canned. If two in a row is what it takes to get Pioli canned or force him to make major changes then so be it.

Lastly I am 35 years old and have seen 3 playoff wins in my life and have never known this team in the SB much less win one. The way we have been doing it since SB IV has not worked. Too many mediocre seasons. Not good enough to win it all, but not bad enough to address our biggest flaw.

Landry looks pretty putrid this year.

I was saying long before the season started that it's going to be down to Barkley, Wilson, and Smith in the top 10. The great underclassmen like Bray and Murray would defer and stick around for a senior season. MAYBE there is one other QB that makes a strong case for being a legit first rounder.

Everyone else can go fist a cow. They're not the kind of QBs the Chiefs need.

We don't need more Matt Cassels or Ricky Stanzis.

If we are infact going to draft a quarterback this year, I dont' want a third round project or something of such.

For once, get the best quarterback available that you think best fits your system. Not the one at the best price, yada yada.
