Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Yes, but it was obvious to the eyes that neither would be worth a shit at this level.

Yep. Geno isn't fat enough to be Roethlisberger. He also doesn't have a sexual predator record

Geno is 6'3" 220. I don't want him trying to be Roethlisberger at all.

One gif of a guy ripping off his helmet makes him Roethlisberger? ... No.

Roethlisberger is 6'5 240. Geno is no where near that big. Roethlisberger gets wrapped up and shakes it off because hes a ****ing linebacker with an arm.

Not in the size department and being able to shed tacklers and shake off hits, but he DOES have the same kind of ability in and out of the pocket to extend plays. Just watch some of him, it seems like every play he is making the RIGHT moves in the pocket in order to make sure he has time to get his receivers open, whatever it takes, stepping up, side steps, scrambling, everything. This guy did it his whole career in college, and it will translate to the pros

Then he's not Roethlisberger...

Moving out of the pocket to extend plays would be someone like Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo.. blah blah blah.

I'd be curious to see the completion percentage that Geno Smith has completed OVER 10 yards in comparison to McCoy and Tebow.

It seems as Geno is extremely accurate on throws over 10, 20, hell 30 yards whereas we know Tebow sucks the ballsack.

Yea I was hoping that ypa would bite him in the ass, but I need to find a more advanced stat than that.

Found it:
http://www.cfbstats.com/2012/player/...tuational.html

In 2012 Geno Smith completed 76 passes of 15+ yards and 36 passes of 25+ yards.

http://www.cfbstats.com/2009/player/...tuational.html

Tim Tebow, in 2009, completed 68 passes of 15+ yards and 24 passes of 25+ yards. Now, let me see if I can find attempts to see % of these throws....

Also, Smith has started at least 3 years right? Wasnt there evidence too that top college QBs who have started 3 years or more have a higher NFL success rate? Remember, Sanchez had only started 1 season....
