So was it ever defined how a player is supposed to give himself up? Do you have to wait for a defender to touch you or do you have to wait for the ref to recognize you've had enough and blow the whistle?

Dex was looking good this season, it's a shame that Cassel got him killed.
almost every single throw our receivers have to leap in the air as high as they can just to have a chance at the catch, which puts their bodies in jeopardy.
