Opening Weekend Road Trip to Chiefs vs. Jacksonville

A group of us from the Tampa area are going to the game. I'm sure there will be other Chief fans going to the game.

The group seats are in Section 130. Row U and V. Seats 1-20

We are planning to get some group tickets together and fly the Chiefs red. We are also planning the best tailgate to ever take place in the Jaguar's parking lots.

If you just want to come to the tailgate and get your own tickets I'll post the location of the tailgate in the opening post when its decided.

Here's the tailgate spot. You can buy parking reservations in the lot now. I will post a pic or describe the location of where we are at in the parking lot early on game day in this thread.

I live about 100 miles south of Jax, and have gone to see the Chiefs play there before.

I may head up there this year, but I'm not sure yet.

Here's the group of us at the Tampa game last year. The more Chief fans we can gather, the more fun the tailgate.

Damn, saw a bunch of fans there but didn't know there were any CP alums. Didn't see that tent in the lot I was in.

If you get there fairly early, there is a big shaded lot at the corner of Wambolt and Parker where the guy charges only 5 dollars to park. The guy that owns the lot is pretty cool and sets up his own tent and keeps an eye on all the cars until everyone has gone home.

Sounds like a good place to tailgate. How many cars can we get in there?

WAIT! How are you going to get a tickets to a Jags game? Oh yeah...they have to black out the top sections of the stadium and tickets come free with a tank of gas.

Why in the world are in you in this thread? You contribute absolutely nothing.

It really doesn't matter where you park, just find a place. If I go I gotta find you guys. It'll be epic.

Probably 25 or 30. There's some bigger lots about 1 block over on Talleyrand that are really good for tailgating too, although I think they are like 10 or 20 bucks to park.

How far from the stadium is the walk?

It's about 6 or 8 blocks. The lots on Talleyrand and Albert are probably a block or 2 closer but have a little more room and are a little easier to find for people that aren't familiar with the city.

Can't RSVP yet but should know more as time approaches. The girl I'm dating's family is in Jax so it may work out well.

The dilemma right now is that same weekend Florida plays @ Miami on Saturday so I might go to that game.

It'll work itself out over the next 4 months.

I went to the Chiefs-Jags game in 2004 when it was a quick drive over from Gainesville.
