Elder Scrolls V

[Fire Me Boy!]

So the guys at Bethesda let it slip a few months ago that Elder Scrolls V was in the works for 2010, and a friend said he read a possible release in 2009... I'm looking for the article, but I'm friggin' STOKED about a new Elder Scrolls game coming out in the next 12-18 months!!!

I think they can learn a lot with the successes and failures of their previous landmark releases like Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 and make ESV an absolute KICK ASS game!

You can just assume this with all games, you won't see user created content except for a rare few games and it's usually not much. This is one reason why PC is so much better than consoles.

I honestly enjoy Bethesda games on consoles more. Graphics aren't as good and the loading times ****ing blow, but it's just something I want to play on my big ass TV from the comfort of my couch and I just don't like using keyboard + mouse with their games for some reason.

Yes but most of the fun of bethesda games are with the mods.

Yep. Without the big-titted stripper body and skimpy armor, Lydia is just annoying as hell.

Yep. I finally got Dawnguard to work right, so the stuff I'm playing is still new to me, even after all this time. And by utilizing the legendary level reset thing I'm still able to still advance levels - I'm nearly to 73 with my new character.

My problem is I like the Bethesda games so much I don't want to play anything else. I have three new games downloaded from the Steam summer sale (Tomb Raider, Endless Space and Dishonored) and have only dabbled in all of them while continuing to play my fifth or sixth character in Skyrim.

The last non-Bethesda game I played extensively was Kingdom of Amalar. Other than that, I finished Diablo III but hated it, and only lasted about 4 hours in the new Bioshock game.

I liked Amalur and played through it with a couple of different characters but then didn't seen another character different enough that i would want play it again.

DIII ... I played 2 or 3 toons up to level 50+ but it really wasn't a fun game. I just felt obligated to play it because i how much i liked DII.

Bioshock didn't hold my interest at all

I could probably replay Amalur again. It was really fun and detailed and open ended. I really liked the crafting aspects (actually much better than Elder Scrolls), and also the way you could totally remake your character to change things up.

Diablo III just infuriated me - like Dune level. After 10 years, that was the best they could come up with? Pricks. I seriously doubt if I'll ever buy another game from Blizzard.

And at some point I think I'll give the new Bioshock another try. I was hoping it would be dark and creepy like the first one, and instead it's just endless bombardment which really got old fast.
