I'm calling bullshit. I was at the game, they were putting decibel readings up on the Jumbotron pretty regularly and we never broke 110 - and they did it right after the return from Dex. It never got louder than that.

I've been going to games at Arrowhead for 20 years - Sunday was nothing compared to the 90's, the Colts playoff game or Thanksgiving Night.

Interesting thought. The seats are vibrating and the stands literally rock so does the field. Is arrowhead like a large subwoofer?
it becomes resonant -- it makes stuff louder by a lot. think of it this way -- a car speaker held by hand in open air doesn't have the volume it has when put into the door panel. What happens is resonance.

Not sure if serious. As a rule of thumb, 10 decibels is about TWICE the perceived loudness.

Prediction: Loudest game of the year will be when the donks come to town. The walls may come crumbling down when JH & TH rip Peyton "Fivehead" into two, like kids with the turkey "wishbone" on Thanksgiving.

I was there. It was not THAT loud, good, but not that loud. I remember the Broncos vs Chiefs game on Thanksgiving like 5 years ago. That was louder even.

Yeah, but did you get a CALL FROM THE CHIEFS?

Didn't think so.

That was the first game I took my wife to at Arrowhead (Broncos fan). It made a nice impression.

Actually, it's a factor of 10. The difference between 125db and 135db is actually quite substantial.

db readings and richter scale readings are two things that 90% of people really don't know as much about as they think they do.
