So after a month, how would you say the game stacks up to previous MW iterations?

Pretty much the same game with a different story & different MP maps. Honestly, it seems like they just dumb down the previous version a little bit to appeal to the masses.

I hadn't played COD since MW2 and I only had to rent MW3 to see that nothing was truly different.

It's MW2 without the bullshit. But the maps aren't very good, there isn't one map that I actually look forward to playing, I hate all of them ESPECIALLY Fallen.

I thought the maps in MW2 were shit, for the most part.

COD 4 was the best.

Yeah, there was no flanking action at all in MW2. Seemed like it was always a fight for better real estate in that game.

COD 4 had great maps.

I only hated Rundown, Karachi, and Wasteland in MW2 the rest I could deal with.

W@W and Black Ops both had fantastic maps. The only map I didn't like in W@W was Makin and they had a day and a night version of the map but the rest of W@W's maps were great.

Black Ops had the best maps out of all the COD's IMO, the only one I hated was Nuketown and everybody else loved that map.

for MW2 i LOVED wasteland because it was all about sniping. Awesome time to be a sniper.

And Favala was by far my most hated map, and it seems like EVERY map in MW3 is Favala..

They are fixing the fire rate on the CM901 with the grenade launcher.

http://mp1st.com/2011/12/05/modern-w...-far-and-more/

I don't know why they would fix it, IW has always had little things like that with guns. In COD4 if you put any attachment on the AK47 it would make it a lot weaker or if you put any attachment on the AK74u it would make the hip fire worse.

In MW2 if you put a holographic site on the FAL it would increase it's damage and the FAL also the masterkey attachment had more range on the FAL than any other gun. EDIT: In MW2 if you put any attachment on the AK47 it would give the gun idle sway.

COD4 had a soul, care was put into that one. The rest, it's just about getting that money. MW3 is ****ing garbage.
