Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Lake city is good, but perhaps not great stuff. It is just overruns of military stuff. It shoots between 1.5 and 3 minute of angle in most rifles with capable shooters. It isnt match qualitt but it is reliable and better than steel, etc.

If you reload, the brass is a small pain because the primers are crimped and must be swaged.

Not enough 223 imo,you need 1500 rnds.
Not enough 00 buck imo you'll need 50-100 rnds.
no 30 cal. ? would recommend you purchase a 308 or 30-06 learn to shoot it and p/up 1500 rhds for it.
If your safe won't hold it all, get another .
Just for what its worth.

There isn't really a whole lot that I can't take down with my .223 that I see needing a 30cal for. Convince me... then I still won't buy one because I don't have the money or the room for it. LO:

I've got a 5.56 AR, and a .308 Remington. I have had to shoot a pig two/three times with my AR (big hog) that convinced me that buying a long gun with glass was worth it. As ammunition becomes more and more expensive, I want to be sure that what I hit stays down.

Just spent 5 days up in the Big Horns. 100+ down here on the flats but only around 80 up there. There is still some snow in the draws up high. Eat your hearts out you flatlanders. The brookies tasted so good, man I want to go back already.

Honestly the only thing you don't have that is a must would be .22lr. Cheap and you can stock up on a shit ton of ammo without taking up much room.
