Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Here is one from this year. One of the reasons he got benched was this. Missing wide open guys, rolling out of the pocket for now reason, and making reeruned decisions.

If they are gonna roll with Alex...what's the standard we need to hold them to?

8-8?

I'd probably say 8-8/9-7 first year and compete for a playoff spot.

Second year we need to win a playoff game.

If the compensation was accurately reported, that means we gave up the equivalent of the 16th pick in the draft for a 29 year old vet.

Those types of moves don't get long leashes.

You said "Alex Smith is the best QB we have had since 2001"

Trent Green was pretty good in 2003.

well in total fairness

when Eli was 9-7 YOU thought of him as a game manager

YOU yourself argued with me THAT year about Eli

and then in the playoffs he went from looking like an Alex Smith to a Peyton Manning out of nowhere really

Claynus is the biggest ****ing phony on Chiefsplanet.

If the Chiefs start out 8-2, he'll try to sneak into Alex Smith's locker at Arrowhead to take pictures of his dirty jock.

Yeah, and you need to review your recent posts.

All you've done is whine and cry about the Chiefs passing on Geno Smith and how Alex Smith is going to suck.

Thanks for the fabulous insight.

I don't know man...

I could see him going full "Major League heckler" unless the Chiefs won a playoff game and Alex Smith played well...

then he'd do the full fledge turn

he's going to look for any excuse to bash Alex Smith and his play all season long...win, lose or draw
