Repost Police suck my dick

Planetside is a REALLY addictive first person shooter..... on PC only right now MAYBE coming to SOny Playstaion eventually...

The battles are massive.....hundreds of people on the same battlefield. Combined arms, infantry, tanks, air, transport/supply vehicles.

Check this game out...lots of roles , not just grunt/infantry....You can really play engineers or medic or troop transport etc...squad leader.....pilot....gunner...bomber.....etc etc....





If you play on server "connery" as the NC (new conglomerate) I would be glad to squad up with you and show you a little of what I know. Its kind of a steep learning curve.....but it is REALLY fun once you learn to move around and find the "front lines" of the war and get into a squad....

2) make a character on server Connery , New conglomerate (blue team)

3) check it out a little bit , go to the "VR" virtual reality center and try out all weapons and vehicles

4) try 'instant action' and try joining a few different squads

5) post any questions or PM me if you wanna **** around and kill some shit


*If you hate the NC for some reason, I do have characters in the other factions (vanu & Terran) so I can hook up with you in those as well, theyre just not as advanced...I prefer NC but can play any of them as long as its Connery server.

It is a bit tough on the ol GPU.

I have to turn it down to medium and I still get only 40FPS or so in heavy battles...

maybe if u do upgrade you can check it out.....I got my latest motherboard, video card, and chip for about $250 bucks, then bought $120 in ram making it 370 total...re-used my case, power supply, mouse, keyboard , hard drive , and dvd/blu ray....

so basically I have 16GB ram, and a brand new board and GPU and chip (low end though!) for 370....

Prices are dirt cheap right now.

Just tried today. I've got an old comp. I think I bought it in 2007 or so.

I don't really game a whole lot anymore (or at least anything that requires much performance) so I haven't bothered upgrading.

same here...only reason i upgraded was my old rig literally blew up...

so i was forced to get a new one...

my old rig would not run planetside, but i tried with this new one (even tho it is pretty low budget) and it works decent on Low settings.


but i have another idea for you!!!! CHESS!!! LOL theres always chess and it works on ANY DEVICE!

I played in beta and it was piss poor compared to good games like bf3 and blacklight:retribution.

Tribes and Team Fortress are awesome but the thing is if you watch the nbext couple of vids I will post, theres nothing in either game that even comes close to the adrenaline rush and just plain awesomeness of the battles in planetside 2.


The last two games that came remotely close were planetside 1 and ww2 online.

I'm gonna go ahead and have to disagree with you...

I like big battles...I like a feel of real teamwork on a huge scale.....

I like dogfights with 100 aircraft....

I like armored COLUMNS moving together with infantry in transports backed by air and artillery.

I like the persistent world and how you could be fighting for a piece of land with real front lines for hours....

I like the 3 way fight and how each of the 3 factions is totally different.

None of the games out have ever done this other than planetside and ww2online, on such a scale....

If 16 vs 16 or 32 vs 32 is your idea of a big battle and fun, then I cant debate that opinion.....But I am talking 1800 people on the same map coordinating strikes....

I am often in infantry platoons of 30 people....comboned with a different platoon of air and armor, each with 20-30 people...Thats 90 people we can drop into a battle....all with different voice channels and squad based waypoints.

Post some videos of your biggest battles, and lets have a look to compare....I'll start:

(keep in mind all these are human controlled, every gun and tank and inf is a seperate human)

daylight open field battle...
(theres also an air battle above you dont really see much of)
