If the Blue Devils are not scheduled to come to the Comcast Center next season, the Terps will be without their most anticipated home game of the season.

"Well, I think this is another level," Turgeon said. "It's another level for our fans and another level for our players and our coaches, and I think it's like that for Duke everywhere we go. But definitely here for us, we are well aware of what this game means to everybody."

"I know what this win means for our fan base, and I really wanted to beat Duke. This means a lot to me. Over the summer I said if we beat Duke, I am going to be in the stands with our fans."

When Maryland eventually does make its move to the Big Ten, it does not necessarily mean the rivalry will die. An annual non-conference game is always possible, along with a potential meeting during the annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge that takes place early during each season. But the scheduling could lie with Duke, and its desire to play a program that has given it several headaches through the years.

Breaking News...MU fans have moved on. It is the idiots like you and Prison Bitch that cannot let go.

Of course, considering Prison Bitch is getting his ass handed to him in the KU thread by his fellow KU fans, it is not surprising that he still focused on Mizzou.

Exactly. You have the new KC Star guy (from MU) begging to resume the games this week. You have Haith talking about it yesterday at the MU event. And Alden talking about it yesterday with Kietzman. When will they move on?

Alden talked about it because Keitzman asked about it. Same with Haith when he was interviewed by Keitzman. I don't know about the MU event, but with Keitzman, Haith didn't sound as interested in this topic as you do.

Duke doesn't care about Maryland. UNC and NC State are significantly bigger rivals for them. Not a loss with Louisville filling that spot.

The KU/MU rivarly was much bigger...

KU just doesn't want to admit it, yet. But they know it after the two regular season basketball games and no signs of Iowa State going away now.

Rivalries sometimes are not determined by close games. If so, we'd be much closer to a rivalry with Oklahoma State after the last year.

What made the rivalry with Missouri so intense was not the quality of the games, rather it was the events beyond the basketball court (rooted back in the burning of Lawrence, the Jayhawkers, etc) that kindled the intensity and at times, hatred, between the 100+ year rivals.

ISU and KU have absolutely nothing in their histories that will lead to this type of rivalry. Unless you want to count the legendary story of your fat, angry booster charging Self as a rivalry igniting tragedy.

Or how pissed KU fans were about the entire nation knowing they lost in Hilton but the refs let KU escape with a win. KU fans were more butt hurt about that than ISU fans were about the loss.
