Bills fans acknowledge hopelessness after watching SB

Porn posted in the predawn hours after the Chiefs victory in SBLVII. They also have a 100 post Zayne Anderson thread and dreams of poaching Wylie and Neon Deon Bush

I lurked in a thread of Bills fans who were ranking their trophy case of sadness. Longtime fans, those who stayed steadfast through 4 straight Super Bowl losses, ranked 13 seconds as the second worst moment in franchise history behind Wide Right -- and all agreed 13 seconds was a fitting introduction to their new fans to the Buffalo franchise.

The 90's Chiefs specialized in those bigtime October wins. We all know what those wins leave you with if you can't deliver in January -- and that's the trap Bills fans are in right now.

I can't hate on Bills fans. They deserve a title as much as any fanbase. The thing with Allen is that if he is this generation's Favre, he could go on a hot streak to get them over the top. But as we know from watching elite quarterbacks on other rosters in the 90's, that's only if Mahomes can be avoided/overcome in the playoffs.

Reading through that thread, I think Brett Veach broke their spirit.

When we were in the shitter as a franchise, and even when we were good but not elite with Alex, I thought, "If this team ever wins multiple Super Bowls, surely all of our infighting as fans will be solved, right?"

Nope. I didn't know what form the infighting would look like, but this is clearly it.

I'm a very hateful person. You'll notice one of my first posts after winning this most recent Super Bowl (God it feels so good that I have to get specific about which Super Bowl I'm talking about) was a diatribe against Nick Sirriani. Why am I not running around hugging and kissing babies? Why am I so concerned about the opponent? Because that's who I am and **** you for asking, that's why.

I hope the moral orel Chiefs fans just let shit go, because we've got more rings to win over the next several years, and they better get used to everybody's individual antics.

Those guys actually kind of know football. These quotes are astute and must be intensely painful for them.

Dismantle the Chiefs? The Bills literally created the Chiefs.*

It turned out to be a solid deal for both parties, but if Mahomes goes on to be a top-3 all time QB (or even the best ever), that trade probably becomes the most famous/consequential draft day trade of all time, passing even the Herschel Walker trade.*

I'm not sure I'd call that famous trade "a solid deal for both parties". The Bills got some good players, but the outcome is as lopsided as a trade can get.

They still have an empty trophy case, that’s good enough for me.

Sure, but Josh's deal is kicking in and they went all in this year. Josh seemed lost without Dabol and they have no way to resign a bunch of their talent. I like our chances...

Gotta love the honesty (although misspelling of Veach could out as a CP plant):

The Chiefs are going to be a dynasty team. They have everything the Pats had and more.

Reid is an offensive genius.

Mahomes is the next Tom Brady.

GM Veech runs circles around Beane. Arguable he's the best GM in the league.

There is no stopping this team. They traded away Hill and won with a suspect young defense and sub par WRs and RBs.

The Mahomes and Allen comparasions should stop now. It's not fair to Mahomes who is wearing two rings.

The Chiefs win and know how to win! The Bills simply don't when it comes playoff time.

Next year will be more of the same.

Chiefs fan obsessing over other Chiefs fan obsessing over others reactions to our success is just part of the 7th circle of trauma and equally annoying with the same lack of awareness.

And I’m 100% here for all of it.

And some of them must not have watched a whole lot of Chiefs’ games. Knocking Kelce’s unique talents, and contributions to the team?

Thank you for posting this. I'm dying over here.

So, I've only read through the first page, but so far, they just want to poach these guys:

Andy Reid
Brett Veach
Spags
Mahomes
Kelce
Dumlap
Saunders
Nnadi
Kelce?
Creed Humphrey
OBJ

They only want those Chiefs. That's all. In the first 19 posts.

Check this gem:

At this point I don't even know if Kelce is good. He's so freakin wide open every play that it must be the play calling. They know he is getting the ball and they still can't stop him. "

This is the best thing I've read all day, and there've been some good posts today. It's like every other post is a new gem. My stomach hurts.

They've clearly accepted their own fate. It wasn't long ago that you'd go to one of those Bills forums and they'd all hem and haw about giving us the 2017 10th overall pick because "We got Josh Allen anyway, PLUS Edmunds, so we won that trade!"

Even the die hard homers have accepted that Mahomes is the true king, and they done ****ed themselves by giving us the tool we needed to acquire him
