If Priest returns...
What would be his role in this offense? Obviously LJ is the the workhouse and Michael Bennett has emerged as the change of pace speed threat... where does that leave Priest? A third-down, WR out of the backfied type back?

priest is better in pass protection ... is a better receiver and is a top notch short yardage guy.


LJ won't like giving up his 1 yrd touchdown runs but Priest is fantastic around the goal line.

Priest would overtake Bennett as our #2 RB and probably take some time away from Kris Wilson as far as a RB out of the backfield type threat

would make for a hell of a backfield tandum if he can make it back; but I'm pretty sure he is never going to see the field again.. hope i'm wrong

I'd actually look at him to replace Dee Brown. He hasn't seen live action in how long now? Even if he does come back I doubt he would see significant action for quite a while.

Yep.


Use him just like we did Marcus Allen the last few years. Like that, Priest could easily extend his career 2-3 more seasons (Productive seasons that help the team) and play virtually injury free since he won't be carrying the load and getting worn down IMO.

LJ has Priest beat in a lot of areas, but we USED to be near perfect in Redzone TDs. LJ is great, but he isn't the goalline RB that Priest is.
