Are B movies direct-to-video movies? You say you saw these in the theater, though. Were they big releases then? What's the deal?

My girlfriend will usually get a direct-to-video at the store over something good because it either has pink somewhere on the box cover or the title has some catchy word.

The only one I can remember is The Pin-Up Girl. It was a baseball movie, kind of. Like the one with Freddy Prinze Jr. and Jessica Biel.

B movies of today are typically direct to DVD.

Back in the 60,s 70's and 80's they would play at drive-ins or regular theaters.
