Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

They've got some good prices on some really interesting stuff, including an AK bump fire stock that will fit a 74 and a Saiga shotgun.

Completely refurbed M1 for $1,139 (under the "cool guns" drop down).

Finally got my front site fixed on my XD.

woo hoo. Can't wait to shoot it. I like shooting my Sig Pro, but I'm still fond of the XD.
I need to put some toys on one of them. Maybe some new sites; or a tac light etc. I'm in the mood for some upgrades.

I've been watching PF9 and LC9s on Gunbroker for a while. Just saw a PF9 NIB go for $229; + 20 for shipping and 20 for transfer. I'm probably going to pick one up in the next month or so simply because of price and to have a new toy.

They've got some great prices on those AKs - I'm going to try to find some reviews on the manufacturer, but the idea of having an AK with a bump fire stock for under $900 is intriguing.

They have much better prices here. It will take only a few simple modifications to make them fire real bullets.

Where's the conversion kits that turn these into weapons that I've been hearing about? Sounds like a deal! I'll have to paint the tip black I guess...

Ran across a Bushmaster Carbon-15 at a gun show last weekend. Polymer upper and lower, 16in barrel, collapsable stock, bushnell red-dot scope, total of 5.5lbs and all for under $700. Although I am morally opposed to direct gas impingement operating systems, at that price point and light weight, I'm kind of intrigued.

It's hard to tell from the reviews, a lot of them tend to be of the 'polymer is bad' variety but little substance beyond that. Anyone have any experience with one of these?

I'm getting really close to pulling the trigger on that AK from Atlantic Firearms.

http://www.ioinc.us/our-products/rif...&category_id=3

Manufacturer is IO, Inc. Made here based on Polish design. Anybody have any experience with these?

The few reviews I've seen have been positive, and the price is right at $600.

getting ready to build my first AR. Need an FFL to ship the lower to. The shop close to my house charges $40 to use them, that seems kinda high to me. What does your FFL charge?

Find a nearby pawn shop. I use one in Olathe that charges $25. Most pawn shops have a gun license and can take delivery but they don't work on the same nickel and dime percentage that gun shops do. If you find one you can afford, be sure you get their address and contact info, the shipper will need all that crapola, they may not be in the usual database.
