Kap is not as good as he looks.... A great team will make a player look much better than he is... Except for Smiff, he has natural talent

Are you telling us that Newton wouldn't have 4,000 yard plus seasons in Denver, New England or New Orleans? Are you familiar with the WR's in Carolina?

If Newton were in Denver with Thomas, Welker and Decker, he'd be closer to 4,500 yards per season, if not 5,000. He doesn't have dick in Carolina and has averaged 4,000 his first two seasons.
It's possible you may be overrating Cam a little bit.

IMO, the great ones make the players around them better.

The other way to look at it is that he's started just 10 games and nearly won the Super Bowl.

Bad coaching lost it for them on that final drive.

That's what he's done.

The Panthers don't have jackshit for perimeter players (or a defense), yet he's averaged 4,000 yards his first two seasons and is responsible for 62 touchdowns.

Kaepernick had 1814 yards in 7 starts...260/y/g

Alex had 1737 in 9 starts...193y/g

That's before we add in the rushing difference.

That's also the difference between a franchise qb and a game manager.

So, you are saying that Reighters shouldn't have put that new Flynn jersey on his credit card

Oh, just shut the **** up.

Kaepernick is CLEARLY the better QB. Who argued otherwise?

Mr. McCloud,
Do we really know much about Kaepernak? Is it possible his success was due to the fact no one had film on him? Did it almost seem like teams were figuring him out -- especially in the Super Bowl?

They just gave up draft picks for another QB, even though they just gave up picks for Palmer and are without a high second this year.

They have a below average offensive line, no WR's, no RB's worth a crap and no TE. I'd be shocked if Dennis Allen is their coach in 2014 because despite the fact he looked overmatched last year, I don't know if they can sell another 1-4 win season to their fans.

He put up 31 points against the Ravens defense and nearly won the game for them on that final drive, so no, I don't think anyone has figured him out yet.

When a guy can run for a 50 yard TD as easily as throwing for one, he's going to be difficult to stop.
