For a few short moments Elvis hit the mark, then like a genie winked her eyes and he was throwing the ball behind, over, under, and away from every receiver on the team.

I can't stand it!!

Clean house and give us a mediocre team that is consistantly mediocre. These guys make me sick!!!

Evidently you missed something that the rest of America (including Dierdorf caught). Dan, "Kansas City had a lot of opportunities today, but had too many dropped balls."

I counted at least 5 passes (some at critical times) that were in and out of the hands of several receivers.

I don't know about the rest of America, but Grbac was booed off the field at the end of the game. I almost felt sorry for him.

2 overthrown passes and one interception that his arm was hit on...Versus how many dropped balls? I guesss he needs to be able to throw one touchdown after another...Grbac will be the scapegoat. When in reality it needs to be DA. How he dropped that ball I'll never know. How many times did he read off more than one receiver? How many different people did he get the ball to? Besides Tony? Supposedly his ONLY target...

I kept an unofficial count, and I saw what looked to be 8 drops by recievers or backs or TE's today. That is atrocious. An offense an a QB cannot get into any rythm with that kind of effort. People may have ripped Elvis for his "I can't throw the ball and catch it too" comment, but that comment was nothing more than the truth. That was pathetic out there and those recievers along with Richard Mann the recieving coach should be the ones apologizing...

Stieveray,

Thank you for noticing that also!

Grbac went to second and third receivers a number of times today. He did spread the ball. He did what many of his critics said he would never do (wasn't capable of doing).

Instead of thinking, "hey, at least our QB is showing us that he can be much more than we thought," they find another reason to bash him.

Elvis had a good game today, and if can keep the idiots from destroying his concentration, he's going to have much better games.

Here, Here! I agree. At least the Gbashers could target his true faults and not faults that clearly lie on others. EG's only fault today was his inability to improvise while being mobile. EG does not deserve to be boo'ed.

When the only opportunities a QB has to throw the ball is on 3rd and long, or down by 14 with 8 minutes to go, Joe Montana would have a difficult time.

Our two running plays for 5 yards, then a dropped 3rd down pass was pathetic. Grbac made one bad play today, with our bone head play calling, ended up being nail in the coffin.

What happened to Guns mantra of having a killer instinct on both sides of the ball!

Stock and Raye must go!

You people are saying that Girbac is still improving. Yes, that's true.

Problem is, at the PACE he's improving he'll be retired before he makes a probowl or has the ability to win a playoff game.

He's been here four years and we're still saying "give him time." Yet there are qb's with two or three years experience making him look like a confused mongoloid.

Get rid of him. He's mediocre at best. He may not lose them all for us but he won't win one for us either. Dump him. Start over. He'll never be a stud.

That's what we want, what we need. Hell, most, no, all teams have either a stud half back, stud qb, or a stud wr.

Looks like we might have the reciever. Looks good, but it's his first professional game. It wasn't Girlbacs or Alexander's....

And for the record, Joe made a CAREER out of throwing on third down and losing in the fourth quarter.

The difference was, Joe actually played like a pro and came back about %75 of the time.

Don't ever compare Girlbac and any hall of fame qb, unless you're trying to inform others of your lack of a grasp on reality.

Brad,

Never once in my post did I compare Grbac to Joe Montana. My point was that any QB would have a difficult time succeeding with the Chiefs offensive game plan and play calls.

Try to understand the post before you reply, unless you are trying to inform others of your inability to grasp reading.

Grbac did fine today.... if all those drops had been catches, there's a very real chance KC would have won. Everyone throws an INT every now and then.

BTW, how does everyone like our new "wide open" offense??? LOL. What a joke.

Brad - Joe Montana had 31 fourth quarter comebacks, so unless he only lost 9 games in his professional career, he did not come "back about %75 of the time."

The only loss of reality on this page is the ability to look objectively when it comes to stats.

Look at the tape of the game. Elvis did not hit his mark. There were a few of the passes that were caught that were amazing.

I'm not saying can Elvis, I would just like to see the ball where it should be caught 85% of the time.

Yes his receivers looked like crap, a number of times the ball hit them where they couldn't make an adjustment (in their hands). When you expect the worst and get something good it is a shock to the system.
