Well at least he got alot wider exposure to people who might not have seen his work in Terriers or True Blood. Sounds like he got alot of love on Twitter. Hes also been cast in a new show, so congrats to him.

Michael Raymond-James (True Blood) has landed a lead role in NBC’s drama pilot Midnight Sun. The thriller, based on an Israeli format, follows the mysterious disappearance of Midnight Sun, a group living on a cult-like commune in Dugan, Alaska, and a female FBI cult specialist leading the investigation that uncovers a larger conspiracy. Raymond-James, repped by Talentworks and Sanders.Armstrong.Caserta., will play the second-in-command of the Dugan Police Department, an Alaskan lawman

It's tough to think of anyone that's been killed by zombies in this whole second season. Otis, I think, is the only other one.

People haven't died because they've been on the farm. And the farm needed to be idyllic and safe, so that opening the barn at the midseason point would have impact on the people who lived on the farm. And all that needed to happen so that Hershel would realize his whole belief system regarding the walkers was wrong, leading to him drinking in the bar, leading to whatever it is that we're heading towards now. Everything has been tied together in pretty subtle ways, which is why it's as good of a show as it is. If it's all just mindless killing and hot zombie action, you lose the character interaction. And when the zombie events and the deaths are infrequent, they have a greater punch when they do happen.

Ultimately it's a very well made show, and we could nitpick a show about zombies to death but something I've always wondered:

Why don't they just stay on the farm or at least In a sparsely populated Area forever? That way you could wipe out the zombie population fairly easily, and live walker free. No reason to ever venture into Atlanta as long as u have food and water. I know, I know, there wouldn't be a show without zombies to kill.......

Shane carried the show for a large part of the second season.

I don't like Shane's character, and most of the reason is because of his acting.

The dude has the same mannerisms, and ticks, and its becoming played out.

In fact, I want some character growth to happen soon, because I feel like the same shit is happening over and over again; the same facial reactions (Shane's head tilted downward with a smirk and his same eye roll look away thing), the same long glances between old fart and blond chick...

I dunno. I'm probably nitpicking, but I just haven't seen much character development this season. So far.

Recurring role? So in a Zombie apocalypse, they're just going to bump into the guy here and there?

Maybe he could have been a central character in the prison they are supposed to locate.

I think Rick is becoming more hardened. Hell, he'd have to with everything that's happened to him.

I don't particularly like Shane's character since he killed Otis. He was interesting before, but he seems more like a cliche now.

AMC announces David Morrissey Cast as The Governor in The Walking Dead Season 3

http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-d...e-governor.php

AMC announced today that David Morrissey has been cast in the role of The Governor in the network's critically acclaimed hit series The Walking Dead. The Governor, a character from Robert Kirkman's graphic novel, is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

The Governor will appear in The Walking Dead Season 3, a 16-episode order from AMC, which begins production this spring in Atlanta.

A BAFTA Award nominee, Morrissey has appeared in many acclaimed British series including State of Play, Meadowlands, The Deal and Blackpool. Along with his celebrated work in television, Morrissey is also known for his leading roles in feature films such as The Reaping, The Other Boleyn Girl, Centurion, The Water Horse, Nowhere Boy and Blitz. He recently wrapped Welcome to the Punch opposite James McAvoy and Mark Strong. Morrissey is represented by The Collective and Troika in the UK.

The Walking Dead Season 2 airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
