New Photography Site All Finished

Shameless plug warning...

I have been working very hard for a while to make this photography thing work and I believe I have taken a small step by getting this done.

You can view (and if you feel inspired have the option to purchase) my work now at ZCPhotography.com I think the place is put together well and shows off some decent work...I am pretty damn excited about the whole thing.

Site looks good. My only question is in the tags. Is there a way do get rid of the + in the multiple word tags like Missouri+State? Or is that something you wanted to do?

And, I'll more than likely buy something in the near future.

Not really something I wanted to do but it is how the thing is formatted...there are a few different rules with tagging.

If I were to put: Missouri State

It would use both of those separately. There are a few ways I have seen in different tagging inputs that don't call for this but I was a bit in love with the "Tag cloud" part on the side so I stuck with it. I like it but I am not convinced most people that visit the site will really understand or make use of those tags but...we shall see.

It was the first way I started looking through the photos. So the tags should hopefully garner some intrest.

But anyway, I'm currently looking at artwork to put in my living room. Most of your pictures had options for 8-12 and I think 10-14. I'm looking for something a bit larger. Your FAQ said to email you for larger options. What larger size would you recomend that would still keep the same quality?

Quality shouldn't be a concern with most pictures...it depends on the picture because most are takenwith my new camera where quality is there through huge prints but some are taken with an older camera where some would look good and some wouldn't...I could give you a good idea if you see a certain picture and have it in mind.

Aside from that you can get all of them in the following sizes...

11x14
16x20
24x30
40x60

Have you tried using "%20" in place of the "+"?

Oh yeah...cool pics.

Looks real sharp, Zach. Congratulations on the launch. The pictures are nice and reasonably priced. I'll definitely get some.

But you have no way to collect jack-overed n00bs that feel they have any idea what goes into a comple canvas.

Anyone who doubts your eye is a fool. Frankly, it reminds me a lot of the shots from 6 FEET UNDER...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

The way I look at it...if I make some money off this then thats great. I have put a lot of work into it and I believe there will be at least a little cash...more importantly I see it as a glorified portfolio...I can show someone that I did this...not only the photos but the business end in a successful manner. This is just the start...i will be going to out to different events and covering them...drop a few business cards and talk to a few people and they can be directed to a page on the site that already has the pictures from that day up and ready to go. Maybe a little kid sports game or maybe some kind of fair. I plan on making a site focused on Kansas City esp the emerging downtown scene.

I'll definitely order some stuff. Just glanced through it for a few minutes. I'll look more into it, including prices, tomorrow when I'm not feeling quite so lazy. I'm sure the site says it, but they're just the prints, right? We need to provide our own frames, matts, etc.

BTW...looks excellent!

Indeed, just the prints.

I hear from my distributor that they are working on a system for frames and what not. I look forward to that.

That would be cool. People are generally lazy enough to pay the extra plus S&H for it to be already framed rather than taking the time to go out, buy a frame, and do it themselves.
