Source says Cassel to be cut now

Just listening to the radio (Petro) and during the sportscenter update, they said according to an "NFL source", Cassel will now be cut.

IF true, the chiefs still need a qb no? I'll be shocked if they don't move back up into the second to get the best QB available.

Cassel isn't getting cut. We're giving him a different jersey.

I can't get excited about this, nor make the video I was planning to make, because of Alex Smith.

Why are we cutting him? Shouldn't we be able to trade him for a few second rounders now that Andy has set the market?

Look for Matt Cassel to be one of the quarterbacks on the Cardinals' radar. Cassel also will receive interest from other teams.

So ask for a 4th round pick for him or are we that stupid?

Tough crowd eh? So i'm wondering as I'm out here half way across the world and been keeping up with the Chiefs. What was the best viable option for the Chiefs to do this year? People are bitching and complaining about getting Alex Smith, and granted he's not the next coming of Lenny D (another QB we got in a trade and didn't draft ourselves), but the dude did lead the 49rs to the playoffs in 2011 after actually getting some stability in a offense.

People say he has no long ball, but let's be honest in the games that the playbook was actually opened up to him he's put up over 300yd/game. He's got the intangibles to be a solid/effective/possibly good QB as a stop gap until we actually have the QBOTF in there.

We only gave up our 2nd (34 overall) which IMO coulda been kinda high as we had two 3rd rd pics, but that doesn't mean we still can't move back into the 2nd rd. So many people are quick to pull the trigger because we were getting f*6%$ by ***** for the past 4 years that they don't recognize something as not being bad.

I'm still not sold on Geno being the #1 pick for all you fools out there that say he should be that pick. If we can resign Albert and Bowe I'm all for getting Geno, that way we at least have a potential QBOTF that most would be happy with. But again, if he doesn't pan out then what?

Let's say we got Geno and he is a huge bust as It's blatenly staring you in the eye. Then it would have been the regimes fault for getting Geno and everyone who wanted him would have short term memory of how much they f*****g wanted his ass, but the blame is on the leadership, not the fans who carry axes and torches to burn down the stadium.

This is my first day joining the club, but I do look forward to seeing how this turns out. It won't be worse than 2-14 that's for sure!!

You draft another one. Rinse and repeat until you find a franchise QB.
