Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Yes, and people are worried about the strong possibility of import law issues.

Arsenals went for 900 bucks before the insanity. They are awesome AKs.

I have seen Century AK's selling for 900+, and that is just asinine IMO. Century Arms AK's are the bottom of the barrel rifles.

I am still kicking myself for not buying a brand new Saiga 7.62x39 for $250 and dropping a $100 kit o convert it fully to an AK-47.

Damnit.

Yeah. The reserve for that rifle I posted is $950. No way in hell I'm paying $950.

Found an ak 47 I like. Opinions?

Would this stock fit on it?

It needs to be a stamped receiver.

I believe Hornady is making steel case with copper bullet rounds. Look at their "training/practice" line.

As to the whole steel case myth; the cost difference in ammo will easily pay for a new barrel.

Unfortunately, its not in stock if you were about to pull the trigger(no pun intended).

But they do have this one in stock...

Its the same as the one you posted, except with a folding wire stock.

I prefer a more traditional looking AK. I think it looks a little strange with the combination gas block/front sight, and no mag dimples.

oh well and I don't like the wire stock either. I also prefer the wood furniture due to it looking like an actual ak. I'd like the wood handguard and that galil stock.

****.

They were selling those for $499 at Buds. AFA is quickly becoming the biggest rip off on the net.

have a guy selling a DPMS AR 15 with 3 PMags. No optics, and aparently no iron sites for $900.

good or bad deal?
He's been trying to sell for about 2 months so I'm hoping to gig him for a few bucks below that.

There are brand new DPMS Oracles on sale in stores for $700 again. PMags are available for 15 bucks, too.

If the rifle has a rail, M16 Bolt and Carrier, special barrel, etc. it would be worth more, but right now I would laugh in his face.
