Nick Athan saying Chiefs offered 5th & 6th, Jets want 4th & 5th

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...del&type=story

Quote:
Bradway has more than likely been instructed by team owner Woody Johnson to ask for a pair of first day draft picks for Edwards. The Chiefs have offered a fifth and sixth round pick and the Jets are holding out for a fourth and a fifth but the Chiefs are not budging.

No editing, no spell check, no time at all it seems put into his work. STUPID ****ing errors in his pieces.

Yes, my posts have errors, but they're posts. They're not my finished work to be published and posted on a professional website...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Give the damn players a little credit would ya please!!!
We lost to Buffalo, SanDiego, and the frickin Eagles because of his parallell passing package shit. We would be playing this Sunday if it wasn't for terrible coaching decisions by Saunders in those games. Remember Green doesn't call his own plays. Hell I've never even heard Saunders speak a word - is the guy a mute? You have to speak to coach. Even Dungy talks more than he does.

AND Herm Edwards is not Marty!!!! GEEZ!!!
The Jets this year died due to injuries and trying to incorporate the shotgun for the first time against a very tenacious Chiefs defense in game one. We physically tore them a new arse just like we did Pittsburg 2 years ago in which they never recovered the rest of the season.
Edwards is a good coach, he's young, energetic, has a great relationship with his players and he knows football. Hell players around the league actually want to go and play for the guy. I don't think you guys realize what would happen in KC if you brought someone in that is a hard ass. We'd lose our entire O line. These guys practice really hard, much harder than a lot of other NFL teams in the league. They were spoiled to an extent by DV. I believe that Edwards has the understanding to emulate that same work environment as DV but also be much more diciplined than DV and actually be a better motivator.
Any of ya that think that Edwards is a Marty clone need to go back and educate yourself on the future coach of the Chiefs. Far greater than Marty, and Marty wasn't half bad. Elvis was!!!
Are you joking?

Eddie Kennison has been our best WR in Al's time as OC.
To get the kind of production in the passing game that Al has in the last 5 years, with the crap we have at WR, is nothing short of spectacular.

And Hermie ****in' Edwards goes into that same Marty shell when the playoffs come around.

And Hermie ****in' Edwards game and clock management make Dick Vermeil look like a freakin' geniouscps, by comparison

I'm not bashing you, just checking.

Have we screwed with the J-E-S-T-E-R-S enough to make them fire Werm and get him for zero picks? (like we should)

I don't care that you guys bash Nick. He deserves it most of the time. But when he does hit, you gotta give him some credit. He's staunchly pimped Herm Edwards as the Chiefs leading candidate since long before DV stepped down.
Well, on the same level, DV and Carl both have talked about how much they like Herm for a long while now.

Kind of sounds like what Carl has done and is in the process of doing to his friend to me.

Yes, but have mutual promises been made and the traditional draft picks exchanged?

It's just not the same without draft picks.
