Nagy to Chicago, Childress to retire. Bienemy (RB coach) in the wings.

This is an amazing job, and should be highly coveted by any outsider:

Young, raw, highly touted starting QB
Elite #1 RB, strong #2 RB, above average #3 RB
Elite #1 WR
Elite #1 TE
Offensive line in good shape, healthy, and locked up contract-wise.

This thread can be used to identify preferred candidates, post rumors, and other prognostications.

Does it really matter? No qualified OC is gonna come here. The position is about as important in an Andy Reid-led team as being knighted in England.

Yeah, its not like any OCs under Reid amount to anything.

Since 2002, Reid has had 5 offensive coordinators. All 5 became head coaches. Sounds like a good gig to me.

I'm guessing it will be Biememy as well. Not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, RB coaches probably aren't the most imaginative offensive minds. In don't want to repeat the Herm years. On the other hand, he may force Reid to feed Hunt the ball more and he seems like an intense aggressive guy, which I like

Not sure you guys would want Bieniemy as your OC. Watched many games with him as the OC of the Colorado Buffaloes and that is not an ideal position for him. He's a stud RB coach but I think he is a little too intense and gets too emotional during the game to be an effective play caller. I guess if Reid wants to basically run the offense it could work but I do not believe Bieniemy's natural position is as an OC.

Can’t remember what one but one of the Twitter guys mort sheft rap etc said eagles will block him interviewing for anything but HC openings

It’s more a GM thing. The official request to interview anyway. If the HC knows the coach really wants the other job they let them go so they keep attracting good coaches. Pittsburgh blocked Butler for years from potential DC jobs so they could promote him once LeBeau left. Sucks but it’s legal for them to do so
