Could Sony finally be unveiling the PlayStation 4?

The company is holding an event Feb. 20 to talk about the future of PlayStation. Announced via its Twitter account, a page for the event simply shows the date and time of the event (6 p.m. EST) along with the short teaser version shown above, with no other information about what it has in store

Earlier this month, Sony announced that it will stop selling the PlayStation 2. The PlayStation 3 has been on the market since 2006, which makes the company due for a next-generation console. The PlayStation 4 has been heavily rumored to be launching in 2013.

Watch Dogs looks kick ass the more I look into it.

If PS4 is out before that game, i'll just wait to pick up the PS4 until the game is released.

It will be interesting.. If MS comes in under their specs, then they will be playing on the price point game.. And if they are 150-200 bucks cheaper.. That will make a huge dent..

Ok, I read differently on IGN.. They said there is not BC on PS4.. If you want those games you will have to get them from streaming/cloud or purchase them on the PS4..

Which seems more plausible, because Sony would not want you playing old games.. They want you to pay for them again..

I didn't realize Watch Dogs was a next gen title. I was incredibly impressed with the game and the graphics when it popped up in the E3 thread last summer. I remember arguing with someone unimpressed about how legit the graphics were. The game looked brilliant in the E3 demo.

Part of what made the PS3 high at the time was the Blue Ray player. in 2005-2006, those were rare and very high priced items, plus it was still battling HD DVD in the format wars.
