Ugh...probably nobody.
RGIII Luck Osweiler Foles Tannehill (I want to put Lindley here, but he just didn't show a thing during Senior Bowl practices; I swear his arm is stronger than that) The more you start really poking at these QBs, the more you see just how bad of an idea it is to go reaching for one this season. The QBs in this draft freakin' blow.

I think in terms of sheer strength, Osweiler may have it this year.

I think people assume Osweiler has a good arm because of his size. He might have a strong arm, but in all the clips I've seen of him he his accuracy isn't very good downfield. Hard to judge.
Another Osweiler game, meh

Pure arm strength? I'm not sure. It's hard to tell when there is such a varying degree of accuracy to go along with the arm. When you watch clips Lindley appears to have a strong arm, but can't hit water if he falls out of a boat and didn't look strong at the Senior Bowl. RGIII has a good arm, not Stafford like, but throws a beautiful deep ball that hits his receivers in stride.
I'd say above average arm and good accuracy - RGIII, Weeden, Luck and maybe Foles.

His stupid throwing motion reminds me of Tebow's awful pitch. But also like Tebow, he is able to get the ball just about anywhere on the field. Arm strength isn't his issue. His body strength certainly is -- even at 240 lbs, he looks lanky. Now like DJ said, you don't really have a Matt Stafford arm this year, but you do have a few good ones. Osweiler's is the best for strength, for my money. |

At the beginning of the season, I was under the impression Foles had a strong arm...but have never seen much of it on any youtube clips...

I had never seen that clip before and thats probably the best I've seen out of any of the "2nd tier" QBs. He consistently put the deep ball in a place where his receivers could make a play on it. I think I can only remember two that he didn't, one in the EZ when his receiver was blanketed by 2 defenders and one on the run where he threw it behind his receiver. I can't think of any intermediate throws that didn't hit his receiver in the hands, not counting the ones that were tipped. One thing that does stand out is how bad his protection is. The guy is running from multiple defenders all day in that game. He's quickly becoming someone I hope the Chiefs go after. He fits Pioli's mold and he's the best option after the first, imo. I can't tell if Osweiler has the best arm in the draft or not. I do know he has a strong arm and can get the ball any where he wants on the field and it looks effortless when he wants to put some zip on the ball to thread the needle.

You just say that because you think every top draft eligible QB for 2013 is going to declare for the draft and that they all develop into what you look for in a 1st round QB.
