Chiefs Defense Drops A Spot To Number 4 In Yardage
We're now at number four surrending 254.25 yards per game. Chicago jumps a spot ahead of KC with their drubbing of Buffalo. Baltimore would have to give up around 400 yards to Denver to fall behind KC.
As far as scoring goes we'll likely remain at the number 6 position with an average of 13.0 points per game given up. Only way we rise is if Denver or Baltimore melts down tomorrow. |

I think this shows how rankings can be skewed because Chicagos defense is about 1000 times better than anyone elses right now, yet they aren't ranked 1st.

Run D went up, Pass D went down.
Arizona was ****ing terrible on third down today, so that will look really great when the new rankings come out. It was nice to get 4 sacks today, 10 on the season.

I think RINGLEADER calculated it himself. The other team's total yardage stats will change, too, so we may be higher or lower.

I am still very happy with our D, especially Hali, Allen, and DJ.
Props to the secondary as well-Ty Law is a stud. |

I was really impressed today. We took their bodyshots early, toughed up and kept ourselves in it. That game could have been a slaughter. Once Leinart started getting hit, I know the game was changing. Although I really thought the defense was going to have to score to win it, the way the offense was going, and I was afraid we were too far down to come back.
I think it's maybe safe to say now that, 4 games in, the improvement probably isn't a mirage. We've played 3 of the league's top offenses (SF scored 34 today - we're the only team to hold them under 20 so far, believe it or not - they've averaged 26.25 ppg against teams not named "Chiefs), and stood strong when it mattered today. |
