Is anyone else totally digging this show? Perfect blend of comedy, *light* drama, and storytelling.

Captain Awesome is my favorite character

hehe, one thing about this show is they know how to extend things without them making you facepalm.

I guess this will be the plot for the rest of the season? We will see. Ratings were up a little which helps. Its NBC after all.

Yeah, you just have to appreciate for what it is. It's not a show I expect a great season long plot from, or season to season plot. But it's always entertaining.

Need Awesome back though

I thought last night's was forced. But then I read something that instantly made me realize why. Last night's episode was supposed to be the penultimate episode with the season (or series) finale next week. That makes all the sense why everything happened so quickly and felt cramped.

Fedak and Schwartz have since joked that next week will be the most awesome midseason episode ever.

This is one of the many reasons why NBC sucks. They have a good thing going but refuse to just give a full season order.

Even so, I hate it when the main storyline (Chuck) goes 100% drama in stead of maintaining the mix of drama and comedy. I understand that they throw all the other stuff in there to try and strike the balance (the Buy More plotlines), but it's just not the same.

The baby name bit at the Buy More had me LOL, so I felt there was a pretty good balance this week. However, I thought the ep was mediocre overall. Good to get Awesome back involved though.

I thought it was "okay" until the last 20 minutes. Then bam it was awesome. Third best use of Jeffster (Mr. Roboto and original Africa). Great series-ending feel and I would have been okay with it ending on that note. (Though happy it's not and would love to see one FULL fifth season to cap off Chuck.)

But they pulled a lot of great strings in that episode.

Great stuff there. They pretty much covered it all.

Of course, is it possible for a show to have two series finales in one year. heh

Yep - you can definitely tell that was supposed to be the finale. I thought it was an awesome episode, but I have a feeling we're in for a let-down for the remainder of the season.
