CHIEFS SET TICKET PRICES FOR NEXT SEASON
http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2005/12...ices_for_2006/
Tickets to Kansas City Chiefs home games in 2006 will average $72.58, the Chiefs announced today, representing the first increase in ticket prices in two years. Upper Level Tier tickets will show a decrease in price to $49. This is designed for people wanting to buy a season ticket package priced under $500. Last season the Chiefs average ticket price ranked 17th among the NFL’s 32 teams, a fall from 13th the previous season. In what has continued to be a unique tradition in the NFL, the Chiefs will offer a youth/senior citizen ticket for children 12 years and younger and senior citizens 62 years and older. Parking prices will increase in the Red Reserved ($25.00) and Gold Reserved ($32.50) lots only. The cash lots will remain priced at $20.00. The Chiefs season ticket base is comprised of approximately 71,000 tickets purchased by people from 48 states. The Chiefs have been among the top four teams in attendance over the past 15 years trailing only Washington and the two New York franchises. Listed below are the current 2005 average ticket prices for NFL teams as they appear on the ticket manifest as determined by the NFL office, as well as the team’s average ticket prices since the 1990 season: |

So does this mean my upper level season tickets will go down in price? Or is that decrease for new season ticket purchases only? If it's the former then cool!

$6 per ticket increase.
It would be nice if they could actually win a ****ing play-off game so I could justify purchasing the product.

Depends on what they define as "upper tier." If your seats are in whatever they're calling upper tier, then your price will go down.

My guess is "upper tier" refers to the worst of the worst. It's probably a desperate ploy to sell those last remaining season tickets that they haven't been selling.
$500 per seat is tempting, but I bet they'll be bad.

I figured upper tier = upper level but since it doesn't say "level" it very well could be a discription of ticket prices based on seat location. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt my upper level 1st row seat price goes down. That's the best row to sit in the stadium IMO.

Used to be that Upper Box was rows 1-20, and Upper Reserved was rows 20+. I'm guessing that's changed.

It will cost me an extra $72.50 (tickets plus parking) to get to the games next year.
Oh well. It is worth it.
