Can I use PC 2100 DDR memory with this motherboard?
If an upgrade to 3200 is necessary I will, but I'd still like to boot up with the 2100 for now.

It says that it supports 266 bus so I would think you coiuld use it but it will choke your speeds down to 266 when they could be at 400.

gochiefs,
Dont get the socket 754 board. I am assuming that you are looking at buying this board. The 754 socket is already phased out. The max that it can handle is a 64 3700+. Heck, even the new Sempron chips are a 939. However to answer your question, yes, the 2100 will work but as mentioned earlier, you will loose a significant amount of RAM performance (thus hindering the beauty that is the Athlon 64) buy using it.

Thanks, and unfortunately that mobo is on my kitchen table as we speak. I don't upgrade that often so I'm fine with it.
