Since we're starting over (again), how are we build for a 4-3?

It's a possibility since we're going to have a new GM/Coach/DC. How do our current pieces fit in a 4-3.

D-Line:
Tamba would probably move back to DE
Poe would be one DT
Do we now consider bringing Dorsey back?
Do Tyson Jackson, Allen Bailey, or Jerrelle Powe work in a 4-3?

Linebackers:
Houston and Johnson are locks and should do fine. Linebacker would be more of a need.

Secondary shouldn't change. We still need a starting corner and probably a starting safety.

DL: Hali-Poe-Dorsey-Jackson(?)
LB: Houston-Johnson-????
DB: Flowers, Berry, ?????,???? (Lewis is too brittle)

Hali basically already play DE ... it's rare he drops into coverage. He just has DT protection on the run.

Tyson Jackson has shown signs that he can do more than just be a human punching bag. But not for the amount of money he is currently being paid. Major pay cut.

Not sure that Bailey has a home in a 4-3

Poe should work inside ... Powe too

Houston should be a DE on passing downs imo

Oh please god no. It took us 3 ****ing years to get our NT. And all it does is give the coaching staff a couple years of excuses as to why the defense sucks. Find someone who will run a scheme that works with the players we have NOW.

Del Rio would be a great hire for you guys. Tyson Jackson has the same kind of build that Derek Wolfe has and would play DE with Tamba on early downs... Del Rio loves him some big-bodied DT's so Poe would fit in fine, so would Dorsey if he stays...

Houston would play the Von role and JDR won't be shy about using him as a pass rusher. I don't know if DJ has the speed to play WILL so he would probably be a MLB in JDR's scheme.
