The candy people's nightmare of an all-chocolate heat set has come true. But that's not my nightmare at all. My votes:

Plain M&Ms over Milky Way. Both are good, but you can't go wrong with a handful of M&Ms. And if I had a Milky Way I would always be a little disappointed that it's not a Midnight Dark Milky Way. I'll go with M&Ms.

Mounds over Ferrero Rocher. Mounds is one of the perfect candies of this competition. Dark chocolate and coconut? It's almost like I'm in a hammock on Bali. Mounds in a runaway.

M&Ms Dark Chocolate over Heath Bar. This is a tough one. I like both, but in the end I probably would go with less toffee. It's a great flavoring but I'm not hugely into it as a main course. I'll go with the MMDC.

Midnight Dark Milky Way over Turtles. Turtles are great, but come on. Nothing competes with Midnight Dark Milky Way. MDMW for an easy win against a tough opponent.

Milky Way. It's classic. It's not its brother from another mother, Midnight Dark, but it's still solid. M&Ms are classic, but ultimately kinda boring.

Ferrero Rocher. This isn't a vote for FR as much as a vote against Mounds.

Heath. It's not Skor, but it's still one of the best bars in this thing.

Midnight Dark Milky Way. Turtles are so good, but MDMW is a wonderful combo of dark chocolate, caramel, and happiness.

Mounds is the candy of jetsetters. You eat Mounds if you winter in Tahiti and date supermodels. What else are you eating when you're headed out over the Pacific in your private jet?

Since it looks like my Andes are done for, my only remaining nomination is the Milky Way Dark.

Milky Way Dark is battling Turtles. Plain M&Ms are going against regular Milky Way.

Save the Midnight Milky Way!

Also, because of this tournament I actually picked up a Midnight Milky Way on my drive to Charleston last week. I haven't had a candy bar in years and still it was every bit as good as I remember it.

I tried to let my wife do the voting this round, but she wanted to vote Dark Chocolate M&Ms over Heath. What a dummy.

My votes:
Milky Way
Ferrero Rocker
Heath
Midnight Dark Milky Way.

I thought there were some really good candies in these heats. Milky Ways are super dope. Ferrero Rocher may be my favorite of all time. Also, I think we all know by now that I'm a supporter of the Heath bar.

The one candy that seems to get some love around here that I just don't understand are Turtles. They tasted very mediocre to me.

I could have gone either way here. I went with M&Ms because they don't melt in your hands.

I like coconut. Almond Joy is better though.

Not a toffee fan.

Both are pretty good, but I guess I like the crunch of nuts in the Turtles.
